This Asia quiz includes the Middle East, the Caucasus (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan), Central Asia, South Asia, East Asia and Southeast Asia, including Timor-Leste. Russia is drawn for context but asked in the Europe quiz.
The five Central Asian countries are Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. Kazakhstan is by far the largest; Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are the small mountainous pair in the southeast of the group.
Southeast Asia is the other part of the map that rewards practice. On the mainland, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam fit together around the Mekong River; offshore, Malaysia is split between the Malay Peninsula and northern Borneo, which it shares with Brunei and Indonesia.

- In Southeast Asia, Laos is the only landlocked country.
- Bhutan and Nepal both sit between India and China; Nepal is the larger one, to the west.
